Marco Lub (b. 1970) is an urban architect and educator. He studied architecture at Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment (Netherlands). During and after his studies he worked as an urban architect for several design firms focused on urban design, architecture and large-scale construction. He later established his own practice and collaborated for ten years with Peter Smit, a Dutch urban designer and educator. Marco Lub is currently senior lecturer at Delft University of Technology, teaching urban design at multiple scales — from its intersections with architecture at the smaller scale to its connections with landscape architecture at the larger scale.

Marco Lub and XAUAT started developing design-education approaches for urban landscapes in international classes and workshops, in 2019.

Since 2022 he has led a series of four 景象 Space+ workshops at the College of Architecture in Xi’an with Professor Liu Hui and her team of the Landscape Architecture Department. These workshops give Chinese and international students at various levels opportunities to develop critical thinking, conceptual design, and iterative design-process skills through practical assignments, campus work and site visits. A new series of workshops will begin in Xi’an in 2027. Aligned with the workshops, the teaching team publishes workshop books that showcase student work and the team's findings on design-education methods.

Marco Lub（1970年生），城市建筑师、教育学者。他曾就读于荷兰代尔夫特理工大学建筑与建成环境学院，主修建筑学专业。求学期间及毕业后，他先后在多家专注于城市设计、建筑设计与大型工程建设的设计事务所担任城市建筑师。此后，他创立了个人设计事务所，并与荷兰城市设计师、教育学者Peter Smit开展了长达十年的合作。Marco Lub现任代尔夫特理工大学高级讲师，主讲多尺度城市设计课程，教学内容涵盖小尺度层面城市设计与建筑的交叉融合，到大尺度层面城市设计与风景园林的衔接联动。

2019 年，Marco Lub便与我院携手，在国际课程与工作坊中共同研发城市景观设计教育模式。

2022 年以来，他与刘晖教授及学院风景园林系教育团队，共同在西安开展了四期“景象 Space+”工作坊。该工作坊为中外各学段学生提供实践课题、校园设计与实地调研机会，助力培养学生的批判性思维、概念设计能力与迭代式设计流程素养。新一轮工作坊将于 2027 年在西安启动。配合工作坊开展，教学团队还编撰工作坊成果集，展示学生作品，并梳理团队在设计教育方法方面的研究成果
